The strategic funding round was led by Blockchange Ventures, with participation from existing investors Acrew Capital, Act One Ventures, and Tamarack Global, and welcomed new investors Wilson Sonsini and Vinny Lingham.
This funding injection will power Afterparty’s latest product development, which aims to facilitate scalable interactions between creators and their fans. Beyond its existing features such as live streaming, one-on-one chats, in-real-life community events, and collectibles, Afterparty will soon introduce AI-driven voice, photo, and video messaging. The forthcoming platform, known as Afterparty AI, will enable creators to expand personalized fan interactions infinitely. Moreover, it will encourage fans to generate unique images and videos that will be immortalized as collectibles on the blockchain.
Afterparty AI will offer fans around-the-clock, on-demand access to conversations with their favorite creators’ AI. Furthermore, images and videos generated using Afterparty AI will be unique collectibles, each tied to the fan who creates them. These collectibles will be verified on the blockchain and easily shareable on social media. Each interaction and piece of content will serve as a “point of access” to exclusive experiences, fostering one-on-one connections between creators and fans during Afterparty Livestreams.
Afterparty has already attracted thousands of creators to its platform, including notable figures like Lauv, Jaden Hossler, Matt Steffanina, Tana Mongeau, Mads Lewis, Nicolle Figueroa, Strangehuman, and Eben. These creators have found Afterparty instrumental in their creative growth and in strengthening fan relationships. Afterparty has also proven itself as a platform for artists like Eben to share exclusive updates, songs, remixes, and more with their fans.
Founded in 2021, Afterparty has evolved from a token-gated fan access and collectibles platform into an interactive destination providing creators with the tools and experiences they need to regain control over fan relationships and revenue. For instance, Afterparty Livestreams grant fans one-on-one unfiltered access, effectively doubling or even tripling creator livestream revenue with a higher Cost per View (CPV) compared to platforms like TikTok Live.
